Bradon is far more mobile than Madison was at this age. Or at least it seems that way. He learned how to pull himself up on everything and today pulled himself up on our wooden entertainment center. He then slipped and fell on the floor, not before banging his head really hard off the entertainment center shelf. As soon as I picked him up I saw the knot. That big bright purple knot in the center of his foreheard. He was crying and I was almost crying. It really was a bad experience. We monitored him for the next few hours and he was fine. Fine excluding the purple goose egg on his head.
Now while remembering the above story let me tell you what Madison did. She was running through the house turned around to look at Barb and ran right smack into the corner of our kitchen table. The kitchen table is the exact height as her cheek. At first her cheek was just red and the next day no bruise. But a few days after a horrible looking bruise formed on her cheek.
Now when I have to go somewhere I have Bradon with his purple goose egg, and Madison with her purple cheek. People keep looking at us funny and I'm pretty sure they think we are beating our children. I really just want to tell them "if you knew what klutzes me and my husband were you would know that this is to be expected and that we are lucky that this is the worst that has happened"
