Bradon's 2nd birthday was on a Thursday this year so due to Matt's work schedule and the fact he is preparing for a jury trial we postponed Bradon's party until today. (February 4th) We were supposed to have Auntie M, Uncle Brad, Grandma Barb, and Poppa over. However life happens and Uncle Brad had to work. Auntie M got sick. So it was just us, grandma Barb, and Poppa. Even though it was cloudy it managed not to rain and the weather was warm enough that we grilled out for lunch. We had hot dogs, turkey burgers, homemade baked fries, and chips. After lunch we opened gifts. Bradon really got a lot of great things. A remote controlled Thomas the Train, A CAT truck, an ambulance, a fire truck & train that blows bubbles, money for his savings account, and a Powerwheels Lightning Mcqueen. He drove his powerwheels all over the living room and you had to move or be ran over. After presents we had cake. We bought him a CARS cake from Kroger (there are a lot of things I can do, but decorating cakes is not one of them) and they did a great job. It took several tries and help from Madison before his candle got blown out. He got a big piece of cake and looked slightly ill after eating half of it. He spent the rest of the evening playing with his toys before crashing out in bed.
