We started this blog to keep people up to date on our lives, but I guess it is really hard to stay up to date when we never update. That being said, let the almost 3 month update begin.
We last updated the first of May and a lot has happen since then. Barb and Larry (Matt's parents) moved back to Indiana from Minnesota. Amanda celebrated her 25th birthday (5/5) and her 2nd Mother's Day (5/9). We celebrated Madison's 2nd Birthday (5/15) with a Tinkerbell inspired Birthday party at our house. On 5/16 we went to Illinois to celebrate Madison's birthday with Amanda's family and to attend Melissa's high school graduation (Amanda's sister). 5/17 was Larry's birthday and then we had a while to recuperate and get off of our cake high for a few weeks. We spent the rest of May preparing to pack and procrastinating on actually doing anything.
The first of June started off with Madison getting her first haircut. Her bangs had gotten so long that it was a daily battle to keep them put up and clipped out of her eyes. Instead of the daily battle we opted to get them cut and she did really well. We celebrated Matt's Birthday at our house in Terre Haute with a Star Trek cake. Matt was completely embarrassed and it was fantastic. The kids and I got him a grill for his birthday and he absolutely loved it. His dad and him did have a heck of a time getting it all together, but it finally got done. Bradon had his 4 month check up in June and is 26 3/4 inches long and 15 lbs 6 oz. The doctor said he looked great and developmentally was exceeding the pediatrician's expectations. June also brought our 4 year wedding anniversary. We did get dressed up and went to dinner. It was a great experience, great food, and a refreshing night away from the kids. The last big celebration of the month was Matt's 2nd Father's Day. We spent a great day at the zoo and had a huge breakfast. The last part of June was spent packing up the place in Terre Haute and preparing for our move to Bloomington.
On July 1st we got our new place and we have absolutely fallen in love. We didn't actually move into the new place until July 3rd and didn't get Terre Haute completely cleared out until the falling weekend. However, we are improving in our moving abilities, because last time we moved we used an entire month to get completely transferred and settled. July brought Barb & Larry's anniversary and this last weekend we celebrated Barb's birthday. Matt has also celebrated being at Carl Lamb & Associated 4 months. He loves his job, but does keep pretty busy.
We have a lot more exciting things happening in August. Madison is starting a dance & tumble class and if she likes it that will become a weekly activity. Bradon is super close to crawling so we are anticipating that will be an exciting milestone in the next week or two. Amanda will be attending a bridal shower and of course there will be many more fun activities.
I know it was a long post, but to sum everything up:
*There were a ton of celebrations
*There was a ton of cake
*We moved to Bloomington
*Kids are doing great and excelling
*Matt loves his job
*And we are going to try to update more
Until Next Time,
