As much as we try to keep updated on this blog it seems as if we go through phases. Sometimes we will update pretty regularly other times it will be months before we get around to doing it. We apologize. :)
The last few months have been crazy around here. July 8th we got the keys to our new place and started moving in. We were moved in to the new place and out of the old place by July 11. After that it was a process of keeping track of the overlapping responsibilities of both places and trying to unpack at the new place. As I write this we are pretty much settled in with the exception of some non-necessary boxes in storage and in our office. It will get there eventually.
Instead of trying to remember everything that happened over the last few months I will just give you an update on each individual:
Matt - He is pretty much the same. He always seems to be stressed and over worked, but we know that comes with the territory of his position. He still works for Carl Lamb & Associates in Bloomington and seems to like it there. He has officially been there 1 1/2 years so he likes the familiarity & the seniority. Matt started working out at a gym about 3-4 weeks ago. He seems to enjoy going and has settled in to a routine of 3 days a week. He is definitely starting to lose some weight & tone up. It also seems to be a way of him destressing before coming home which is always a good thing.
Madison - Maddy is doing great. She finally has learned how to pedal her bicycle all around the drive way. She was having issues figuring out how to not ride the back brakes, but also enjoying having Matt shove her around the driveway. Madison has started reading a lot of things and surprises us on a daily basis with the words she can recognize. She has also started making up little jingles to go with any music. Our favorite so far has been after she saw a Taco Bell sign and started singing "Taco Bell, Taco Bell, I want a cheese taco" sung to the tune of Jingle Bells. Her new favorite phrase is "Why not". Matt and I have both shamed ourselves by using the typical parental line of "because we said so" on at least one occasion. Her and Bradon are definitely able to play together more now & they definitely fight more now.
Bradon - He is as big as Madison now and is no longer putting up with the occasional bullying of his older sister. He still isn't talking much, but the doctor said not to worry. He can recognize all sorts of things and do things when asked, but really has no desire to talk. Or maybe its that he can't get a word in edge wise with Madison around. Since his last appt. he has started to say a few more things and sign more. The doctor said he would give Bradon until 2 1/2 before suggesting speech therapy. Apparently Matt was a late talker to and started talking in full sentences right before he was supposed to start speech therapy. It seems Bradon is taking after his dad in this department.
Baby #3 - Finally at 32 weeks we discovered that our final baby is a little girl and that everything is straightened out for us to have a natural childbirth. We have finally decided on her full name and nickname, but have opted to keep this information to ourselves. This is the one thing in this pregnancy that we can control and we want to give our friends and family a final surprise. Her last ultrasound showed that she is measuring pretty big, so we are on track to have another big child. She only has 4 weeks left, but the doctor isn't convinced that she will make it that long. She has already tried to make her appearance 2x in the last 6 weeks. At this point the doctor won't stop labor if it starts so it could be any day or 4 weeks. The doctor has said that he won't let me go much past my due date, because of her size.
And the final update goes to me - I'm doing well. This pregnancy has definitely been the roughest of any of the other pregnancies, but we have made it through. I've been trying to relax, but also trying to get some things done. I'm pretty sure I have wore Matt down. He got the crib put together, helped me pack a hospital bag, and deals with my other random impulses like a pro. I definitely owe him when all this is over.
And that is the end of our update. I will warn you now that another update probably won't come until the baby has made her appearance, but you never know . . . .
