Alana's 6 Month Appointment
Alana had her 6 month appointment. She is up to 18 lbs 10 oz. The doctor was really impressed and said she was at the 75 percentile. He said she was up where he wanted her and we could go off of the high calorie diet. If she starts to lose weight again we will have to look at uping the calories again, but for now she is doing great. She is 28 1/4 inches long and is still in the 99 percentile for height.
She got two shots and got her ears pierced. A lot of people question our decision to pierce the ears so young. While I don't feel like we have to explain ourselves, I will give you a little insight. My ears were pierced when I was really young. I have absolutely no problems with my holes, while my 2nd hole in each ear gives me nothing but problems continually. I got those holes when I was 16. We got Madison's pierced at 6 months and she did great. Now at almost 4 she likes to have them changed and they don't bother her at all. If she chooses later to not have pierced ears then she can let them close up. Alana did great. She didn't really cry at all and sat really still.
