Meant to Be.

Back in February, Matt left his job at the law firm he had been with for almost 2 years. It was a difficult decision for us to make. Matt hadn't been happy there since about year 1, but he kept pushing through. It provided good experience & comfortable finances, which allowed me to stay at home. But the demands and hours prevented him from looking for other employment and he really wasn't happy. We opted to take the big risk of letting him quit before finding another job.

The risk has paid off.

Matt has been offered a position as a Deputy Prosecutor. This is a job that Matt has wanted since before starting law school. He went into law school wanting to be a prosecutor and has applied to countless prosecutor postings waiting for that one county to give him a chance. We are all incredibly happy for him and for us. The position will require us to move, but since Matt has found the one job he wants to spend the rest of his career doing it will be the final move for us, until purchasing a house that is.

It will definitely be rough, until all the logistics are worked out. He will be away for 2 weeks at a time and the kids & I will be here, this is only temporary until we can get out of our place here & find a place there. We've made it through worse, but it will definitely take some getting used to.

I know in the end we will all be happier.
