Madison was really lucky this year, because she had a lot of family here for her birthday party. We had the party on May 18th, three days after her birthday party, because Matt was still in South Bend on her birthday & her grandpa Larry's birthday is on the 17th.
We got her a Disney princess cake. It was basically two quarter sheet cakes and had some neon pink frosting that stained everything it touch. However, her smile & giggles was completely worth it. That sentiment pretty much went to the whole day, considering after she opened her pink drum set from us that we could barely hear ourselves think, but she was happy.
She got her drum set, earrings, necklaces, books, clothes, and money. I'm sure I probably forgot a few things on that list. We cooked out on the grill, the kids swimmed in the pool, and we visited with everyone. Uncle Brandon, Aunt Michelle, Grandma Raper, and Poppa were all there to join in the festivities.
Madison really had a great time and we were so happy a lot of people could be there. Hopefully, next year even more family will be able to come. Work schedules and life got in the way this year. But she did get to talk to everyone on the phone, which she really enjoyed.
