Madison had her follow up with the eye doctor and like we suspected she had to get glasses. Her eyes have progressively gotten worse every appointment and we had started noticing her crossing one eye when she was trying to focus. We went into the doctor and they said that since she is reading (and pretty well too! Not that I'm bragging. :) ) that they wanted her in reading glasses. After further examination they opted to put her into a bifocal. Matt was in bifocals at 5, so she manged to beat him by a year. Hopefully, her eyes don't get as bad as Matt's eyes are.
She wanted a bright pink framed pair of glasses, but they didn't have any in her size. So, she settled for a Disney frame with a cute little Disney princess purse to carry them in.
She really is doing well with the glasses and I think it helps that pretty much everyone in her immediate family wears glasses. I will admit that they get disgustedly dirty and I feel like I'm cleaning them constantly. I will also say that she looks a lot like Matt and she looks really grown up. :( Where did the time go?
