With life calming down (for the most part) and the holiday goodies adding pounds to our waist lines we have decided that we will run a 5k for this anniversary. We even have placed our registration fees for the Sunburst 5k in South Bend on June 1st. The fees are non refundable so we will be there with our running shoes on.
We have started our training and it has been an uphill battle. I can't even believe I used to play basketball. But with each interval it gets easier and with each work out - we are encouraged.
Even being winded, tired, and sore we feel energized and fulfilled after each work out.
And that is what doing this challenge is all about.
You'll notice that on the right hand side of the page at the top we have our countdown until the race.
You will have to check back periodically to see how training is going and to see the outcome of our hard work.

"In running, it doesn't matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say, 'I have finished.' There is a lot of satisfaction in that."
