Happy Halloween!

I'm pretty sure Matt and I were more excited for today than Madison. The last few years Madison had been too little to go trick or treating. We had dressed her up and visited family. This year it was different. We were going to be able to walk around the neighborhood and show Madison what trick or treating was all about. We were also excited about eating some candy. It's not like a 2 1/2 year old needs that much candy. LOL

After Madison's first house she was hooked. We walked around to about 12 houses until Madison was dragging and Bradon was falling asleep. We then headed back to Barb & Larry's house to warm up and let Madison eat some of her loot. We had decided to trick or treat in Barb & Larry's neighborhood instead of ours. We really don't know anyone in our apartment complex and decided we felt better taking the kids to that neighborhood instead. After Madison had some candy and used the potty she was ready to go back out. We decided to distract her with helping to hand out candy, but that didn't go well at first either. Madison was trying to trick or treat out of other people's bags instead of handing them candy. She didn't understand why we were giving candy away and she wasn't allowed to get anything from them.

After leaving to come back home Madison and Bradon were passed out in the back seat. I'm pretty sure Madison was tired and in a candy induced coma. We barely got her undressed, into her pajamas, and teeth brushed.

Bradon seemed to enjoy his first Halloween. Poor little guy couldn't eat any of the candy, but did eat some pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting. His Yoda costume was a big success, and I'm pretty sure he helped Madison get a lot more candy. I'm pretty sure we will be having candy for at least the next week or two.
