The kids went trick-or-treating last night. It was the first time, since we 2009 that all of the kids could walk door to door, they could all say trick-or-treat, and they all got candy for their bags. Last night, brought to light that we are now parents to older children.Obviously, not grown up kids, however 2,3, and 5 are drastically different from the first year. We miss the days of them wanting to cuddle, holding still, and all those 1st year firsts. However, we are loving seeing their personalities, their interaction with each other, and their interactions with the world. We also are enjoying (excluding illnesses) getting full nights of sleep and no longer having those every 2 hour wake up calls.
Back to trick-or-treating, it went well. Thankfully it wasn't snowing, sleeting, and 30 degrees like last year. However it was 60 and raining. The rain slacked off enough for us to go the length of our street. The kids dressed up as Dracula, Jessie (cowgirl from toy story 2), and Minnie Mouse. They looked adorable, and I'm not bias at all.
Life is the craziest it has ever been. Between extracurricular activities, Matt's work, my school, and Madison's school we are running constantly. I now have taken the mom van to a whole other level with the addition of a Martial Art school decal and an elementary school magnet on the back.
I will be back tomorrow, and I will at least try to give each member of our family their own day over the next 30.
Love,
Amanda
